The man, who introduces himself as Yaytseslav from Russia, often moves around the Accra Mall area, gets acquainted with shoppers and other passersby, and records their conversations to share online.
In many instances, he convinces the ladies to exchange their phone numbers with him and even gets them to visit his residence later, all of which he records to put online.

News of his activities was first shared by Gossip 24 TV’s Clement Nana Asamoah, who indicated that the supposed Russian was sharing his videos in two main parts. First, he reportedly shares a summary of each encounter on his Telegram, while other private videos are shared in a private channel at a fee.

According to him, there is no information as to whether the women involved were aware of the videos being shared or not.
Reports indicate that about 40 such videos featuring Ghanaian women are currently circulating on his platforms.
The situation has sparked public outrage. Many social media users have raised concerns about privacy, consent, and the ethics of recording and monetising such encounters. Critics have called on authorities to investigate whether the women involved gave informed consent for both the recording and public distribution of the videos.
