Ghanaian artist Feli Nuna has talked candidly about upsetting events she claims to have had in the music business. She describes how these encounters impacted her well-being and finally caused her to take a temporary break from her profession.
The musician described a disturbing occurrence that happened in 2022 while she was promoting her track BumBum in Accra in an interview with 3Music TV. She claimed that what had started off as a typical media interaction soon took an awkward turn.
She said:
I was sexually harassed when I went to one of the media houses in Accra for promotional engagements for my ‘BumBum’ single. It was someone I knew.
I wasn’t valued for my skills and efforts. It was more about what they could get from me sexually.
I had an altercation when I was promoting ‘Towel’ in 2022. I had three gatekeepers who said it was okay to sleep with your female artist.
